Man Accused Of Selling Drugs In Glastonbury: Police
The man, who was also wanted on three warrants, was found to be in the possession of cocaine and marijuana, according to police.
GLASTONBURY, CT — A 25-year-old man who was wanted on several arrest warrants is accused of selling drugs in Glastonbury, according to police.
Melquan Beaufort was arrested Aug. 26 as part of an ongoing investigation into crack cocaine sales at a business on Glastonbury, according to officials from the East Central Narcotics Task Force. Beaufort was found to be in possession of about 7 grams of crack cocaine and 23 grams of marijuana packaged for sale, according to police.
Beaufort was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute and possession of more than half an ounce of marijuana.

He was also arrested on three outstanding warrants related to the task force’s investigation and charged with possession of cocaine and sale of cocaine. Beaufort posted a total surety bond of $180,000 and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 9.
The East Central Narcotics Task Force, in cooperation with other municipal and federal law enforcement agencies, is interested in stopping illegal narcotics sales and use in the Manchester, South Windsor, Vernon, and Glastonbury communities.
