Man Dies In Route 2 Glastonbury Accident

GLASTONBURY, CT — A Waterbury man died in a single-car accident on Route 2 Sunday evening, according to State Police. Juan Carlos Delvalle, 53, of 107 Meadowlark Drive in Waterbury, was pronounced dead by emergency crews.

Delvalle was driving a Mercedes-Benz S320 westbound on Route 2 near exit 10 at 6:39 p.m. He lost control of the car, hit the metal beam guide rail on the right, then crossed the high highway and struck a rock wall on the median.

The wreck remains under investigation.
