The Most Dangerous Roads In Glastonbury

GLASTONBURY, CT — Glastonbury’s most dangerous roadway over the past four years is Route 2 with more than 500 crashes.

The University of Connecticut Crash Data Repository has crunched data from The Department of Public Safety and the state Department of Transportation.

In all, there were 2,736 crashes in town since 2015, and 4,935 vehicles were involved. The crashes affected 6,492 people.

Two of the crashes proved to be fatal, 25 involved serious injuries and 224 involved minor injuries.

Here's how Glastonbury's roads rank in terms of the number of crashes:

• Route 2 (548)
• Route 94 (303)
• Main Street (297)
• New London Turnpike (169)
• Route 3 (143)
