Pededstrian Killed In Glastonbury Hit-And-Run Accident

A pedestrian was killed in a crash in Glastonbury on Thursday and the cops are looking for the driver.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A pedestrian was killed in a lunchtime car accident in Glastonbury on Thursday and police are looking for a driver who left the scene.

The crash took place along the 400 block of Griswold Street at 12:05 p.m., police said.

The vehicle then evaded the scene, police said.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is being asked to call police at 860-633-8301.

Griswold Street, between Candlewood Road and Spring Street Extension, was expected to be closed for an extended period of time while the Metro Traffic resconstruction team investigates the accident.

Police early Thursday afternoon had not released the name or description of the person killed.
