Pedestrian Struck, Killed On Route 2 In Glastonbury

Part of Route 2 in Glastonbury was closed Wednesday morning after a pedestrian was hit and killed.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A pedestrian was struck and killed in a crash on Route 2 Wednesday morning, according to a state police report. Malcolm Privott, 33, of Cromwell, was walking against traffic in the left lane of Route 2 eastbound west of the Exit 11 ramp at 3:58 a.m.

A driver in the left lane struck Privott. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

A vehicle belonging to Privott was located east of the accident parked on the median. Police said they do not know why Privott's car was there or why he was walking on Route 2.

Part of Route 2 in Glastonbury was closed due to the crash, according to WFSB-3 TV.

The case remains under investigation.
