Play ball! New Challenger Baseball Program Offered in Glastonbury
New team specifically for individuals with physical, intellectual or developmental challenges

Glastonbury Little League’s motto “Where Everybody Plays” is well known throughout the community. This baseball season, the league will truly live that motto by adding a new team specifically for individuals with physical, intellectual or developmental challenges, making baseball accessible to more youths. The Little League Challenger baseball league is open to players in Glastonbury and surrounding towns, ages 4-18 who have special needs and are interested in learning the fundamentals of baseball. The season will begin on April 20 and run through early June. Play locations will be accessible to all.
The Challenger league is non-competitive and children are encouraged to sign up regardless of physical ability. Once per week practices will include hitting, throwing and fielding stations with adaptive equipment. One 2-inning game will be held each week versus Challenger teams from surrounding towns. Coaches and peer mentors will be available to provide training and assistance to all players, ensuring they all have fun and participate at their own pace.
Registration for GLL Challenger baseball is $50 (scholarships available if necessary). Please visit www.glastonburylittleleague.org to register or to contact the league with any questions.
