The southbound lanes of Route 3 will be closed Sept. 27 through Sept. 30.

Commuters should be aware that the southbound lanes of the Putnam Bridge will be closed during the last weekend in September as Department of Transportation continues their $30.3 million rehabilitation of the aging bridge.

The state Department of Transportation is conducting a $30,297,746 rehabilitation project of the bridge, which carries Route 3 between Wethersfield and Glastonbury over the Connecticut River.
