Strange Haze In Glastonbury Caused By Defective Heater: FD

Fire crews responded to a report of hazy conditions in a Glastonbury neighborhood.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A strange odor on Gastonbury's House Street on Friday night turned out to be a defective water heater, fire officials said.

The call was reported at 9:14 p.m.

Fire Companies 1 and 2 responded to a House Street residence at 9:14 p.m. after receiving a report of an "odor of smoke" and a hazy conditions there.

After a brief investigation, the haze and odor were determined to be caused by a defective water heater, fire officials said.

No injuries were reported.
