Themed Sandwich Shop Closes In Glastonbury
Two Connecticut restaurants in the national chain closed in late June.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A fire-themed sandwich shop on Main Street in Glastonbury has closed its doors after just three years in business.
Firehouse Subs, a national franchise with two locations in Connecticut, shut them down in late June. In addition to the Glastonbury location on the corner of Welles and Green streets, the Bristol store also closed, the Hartford Courant reported.
Founded by a pair of brothers who were former firefighters, the chain is noted for its generosity, raising millions of dollars for fire departments and other organizations.
