All three Connecticut towns have lost ground from the 2018 survey, in which Riverside ranked #49, Old Greenwich, #65, and Greenwich came in at #74. Cos Cob, which ranked #97 in 2018, dropped off the list completely this year.

As for which state can claim bragging rights for having the most high-ticket neighborhoods, the competition was not even close. California stood head-and-shoulders above the pack with 91 of the 125 listings, including six neighborhoods in the top ten. Among those was Atherton's 94027, the number one most expensive ZIP code on the list for the third straight year. The median sale price for a home there was $7 million.

On the East Coast, New York was king. Eighteen neighborhoods in the Empire State made the top 100, the second-highest number and just one ZIP less than last year. The Sagaponack neighborhood's 11962, out on Long Island, came in second behind Atherton, beating out Manhattan's Tribeca/Lower West Side (#5) and California's Santa Monica (#3) and Beverly Hills (#4).
