For $6.5 Million, You Could've Bought a 5-acre Backcountry Greenwich Estate

There were several multi-million dollar real estate sales but the most expensive home sold in Greenwich between Dec. 5 and Dec. 10 was a Georgian colonial at 717 Riversville Rd.

The five-acre estate was sold for $6.5 million by a limited liability corporation to David K. Gluckman.

Zillow.com described the property as a "breathtaking Georgian colonial on five park-like, flat acres with three gated entrances, high ceilings with wonderful proportions, exquisitely detailed public rooms." There's also a gourmet kitchen, seven fireplaces and six ensuite bedrooms and a pool located amidst sweeping lawns.

Also included in this week's sales was the home of David Ogilvy, founder of the Greenwich high-end real estate firm David Ogilvy & Associates. His home in the exclusive, private Belle Haven enclave was sold for $5 million.
