Donald Trump's Former Greenwich Mansion Gets Price Cut

The mansion is now listed at $45 million. It was purchased by Trump and his first wife Ivana for $4 million.

GREENWICH, CT- The sale price on Donald Trump's former Greenwich mansion was recently cut $9 million down to $45 million.

Trump last lived in the home during the early 1990's, according to the Hartford Courant.

The home was originally built in 1939 for Robert Hillas. There are eight bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, a double grand staircase and a view of Long Island Sound, according to TopTenRealEstateDeals.

Trump originally purchased the mansion for $4 million when he was only 35-years-old. His first wife Ivana got the mansion during the divorce during 1991 and sold it for $15 million to Robert and Suzanne Steinberg in 1998. At the time it was a record sale for a single family home in Greenwich.

Ivana Trump had remodeled the with gold leaf, chandeliers and other extravagant items that were also being used for the Plaza Hotel remodeling. Some of those items have since been removed.

Since the home sold a tennis court, indoor lap pool, sauna and guest suite were added. There is also a 22-seat home theater.

The listing agent is Tamar Lurie of Coldwell Banker in Greenwich.
