Former Aol CEO Selling Greenwich Estate For Nearly $27 Million
Tim Armstrong, 49, previously served as the CEO of Aol and he also founded Patch.com, which he later sold in 2014.

GREENWICH, CT — A former Aol CEO is selling his waterfront Greenwich mansion for nearly $27 million. Located on Meadow Road in the Riverside section of town, Tim Armstrong's 11,365-square-foot home is listed on Realtor.com for $26.75 million.
Armstrong was CEO of Aol from 2009 until 2015. Armstrong, 49, is currently the founder and CEO of the Dtx company, which is a direct to consumer tech company.
According to the listing, Armstrong's mansion offers "unparalleled water views from nearly every room," with expansive lawns that feature "vibrant, perennial" gardens perched above Thrushwood Lake. He spent $10.4 million for the property back in 2008 and invested millions in the house, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Built in 2009, the home offers six bedrooms and seven full bathrooms. Inside, prospective buyers can enjoy high ceilings and expansive windows, while views to Greenwich Cove, Tod's Point and Long Island Sound can be found outside, according to Realtor.com.
Additional exciting features include a lounge, bar, wine wall and game room on the home's lower level, as well an infinity pool overlooking the water, according to the listing.

The house was featured in an episode of the Showtime television show, "Billions," and Armstrong recalled how he was inundated with phone calls from people who told him they saw his home on television, the Wall Street Journal reported.
He previously worked for Google and Verizon. In 2019, Armstrong received a $60 million buyout package from Verizon, Business Insider reported. Armstrong was the founder and champion of Patch, which he created in 2007 and later sold to Aol. As of January 2014, Patch has been owned by Hale Global.
