Greenwich CEO: 'You Can't Give Away a House in Greenwich'
The CEO of a Greenwich-based company has moved to Florida and complained about Connecticut taxes and the Greenwich real estate market.

GREENWICH, CT—Greenwich-based Starwood Capital Group CEO and Chairman Barry Sternlicht now officially lives in Florida and has taken some shots at Greenwich's housing market.
Sternlicht said at a CNBC Institution Investor Deliver Alpha Conference that "You can't give a house away in Greenwich," according to Bloomberg.
New listings have grown by 27 percent in the second quarter this year compared to last year while sales fell 18 percent.
Sternlicht said that taxes in Connecticut are too high and that he wanted to be closer to his children in Florida.
