Dear Patch Readers,
I hope you have enjoyed the Holidays. I wish you and your family a prosperous and Happy New Year. As we reflect on 2016, we can see why we are looking forward to 2017. Greenwich as a whole (Greenwich, Cos Cob, Riverside and Old Greenwich) saw transactions drop from 589 to 568 single family homes sold. A drop of 3.6%, we also saw the average price drop from 2015 where it was $1.85M to $1.7M in 2016 a decline of 8.1%. When looking at the one sheet, you will notice we continue to see a strong market under $2M, with the over $2M price points seeing a much slower market the higher you go.
