Lake Avenue Estate Sells for $25 Million

Real estate transactions as recorded in the Greenwich Tax Assessor's Office from Dec. 12 through Dec. 20, 2013.

There were several large real estate transactions in mid-December here in Greenwich, including the sale of a Lake Avenue mansion for $25 million.

That sale involved a 25-room colonial built in 2001 on nearly 6.25 acres. The nearly 18,000 square foot home includes eight bedrooms, 10 full baths and 2 half-baths, a pool with a pool house and a tennis court.

Another transaction — totalling $17.5 million, involved the sale of five undeveloped parcels on Indian Spring Road which is located off Midwood Drive in the Glenville section of town.

  • Indian Spring Road: The Indian Spring Land Co. to INCT LLC; $10,000.
  • 11 Meyer Pl.: Virginia Lawson Mayer to 11 Meyer Place LLC; $850,000.
  • 10 Edgewood Dr., Unit 7B: William H. and Susan W. Friesell to Rona Javitch; $3,010,000.

Dec. 17:

  • 6 Guinea Rd.: Richard L. Wendelyne H. Murphy to Robert V. and Patricia B. Gaulin; $2,550,000.
  • 555 Lake Ave.: Cynthia G. Biondi to 555 Lake Avenue LLC; $25,000,000.
