Ron Howard's Estate Sells for Asking Price — $27.5 Million

The Academy Award-winning director and his wife have sold their 32-acre estate on the Greenwich—Armonk, NY border.

There apparently wasn't any need to haggle. Director Ron Howard has sold his home in the gated Conyers Farms community that straddles the Greenwich, CT — Armonk, NY, for the asking price of $27.5 million.

Just two months after it was put on the market, the sale closed July 24, according to a Wall Street Journal report. Tamar Lurie of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, who listed the roughly 32-acre lakefront estate with Lyn Stevens of Sotheby's International Realty, told the newspaper that the property went to contract about two weeks after its listing in early May.

According to the report, Douglas Elliman Real Estate agent Frank Haymson, who represented the buyer, said the deal is the priciest home sale on record in New York's Westchester County. The buyer was not identified.
