Son Of Billionaire With Greenwich Ties To Move Into Former Playboy Mansion

Daren Metropoulos bought the property, which is next door to a site he already owned, last year.

GREENWICH, CT — The legendary Playboy Mansion in Holmby Hills, CA is about to change hands following the passing of former owner and Playboy founder Hugh Hefner on Wednesday.

Daren Metropoulos, son of billionaire C. Dean Metropoulos, a former Greenwich resident, will take over the mansion, which he bought last year, and merge the property with his next-door parcel to create a 7.3 acre estate in keeping with the original vision of architect Arthur Kelly and first owner Arthur Letts Jr.

The terms of the sale allowed Hefner to continue living at the property until his death. See video below.
