3 Car Break-Ins Reported In Groton Heights
Police are reminding residents to lock their cars.
GROTON, CT — Three cars were broken into overnight Thursday in Groton Heights, according to police. It appears that unlocked vehicles were targeted.
"The City of Groton Police Department respectfully requests of its citizens to please lock your car doors and do not leave valuables in an unlocked vehicle in open view overnight," police wrote in a Facebook post. "Our patrol division aggressively checks the City and its businesses overnight, but locking a vehicle and not leaving valuables unattended overnight in an unlocked car eliminates you as a target of opportunity to a thief."
The cases are under investigation. Anyone with information on the case should dispatch at 860-445-2451 and ask for either Officer Harris or Officer Ellis.
