Adopt a Barn Cat, Moby Dick Marathon or Play Wii at the Library
Five things you should know on the very last day of July.

1. Today should be a lot like yesterday but two degrees colder. The National Weather Service forecasts, sunny skies with a high of 78. The temps will drop to 65 tonight.
2. Groton Animal Control has several barn cats looking for homes. They have been already spayed and are up to date on shots. 860-441-6709
3. Music is one of the things people travel for, and music at Harkness Memorial Park as the sun is setting should be on everyone’s summer bucket list. Tonight Leon Russell performs live on the Eoila Mansion lawn beginning at 5 p.m.

4. Have questions about "Moby-Dick" and Melville? Go to the Mystic Seaport at 10:30 a.m. before the Moby-Dick Marathon begins to ask a panel of scholars anything you want to know about this literary masterpiece. And if you can't make it down there, you will find them on Twitter @MbyDickMarathon as we live-tweet the event and watch a live video feed on their website.
5. Tired of all this great weather and supervising outdoor activities? The Groton Public Library is offering up their Wii from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. to anyone interested - could be a nice mini escape while the little ones play video games.
