The City of Groton Police Department is recruiting applicants for entry level police officer positions.  Interested candidates must submit a complete City of Groton Employment application to the City of Groton Human Resources Department no later than April 12, 2013. Applications are available at cityofgroton.com. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
The City of Groton Police Department is holding a Cooper Standards physical fitness assessment on Saturday January 26, 2013 for those candidates not in possession of a CHIP certification card acquired within the last six (6) months.
To participate in the City’s physical fitness assessment you must arrive by 8:30 AM with a valid driver’s license and Physical Fitness Assessment Medical Approval Form completed and signed by a licensed health care provider. No other medical form will be accepted. A licensed health care provider’s office stamp must also appear on the form.Â

If you have already successfully passed the Law Enforcement Council entry level exam AND if you have a valid CHIP card within the last 6 months OR if you successfully complete the physical assessment exam on January 26, 2013 AND you submit a City Of Groton Employment application along with your CHIP card is applicable to the City’s Human Resources Department by the close of business on January 28, 2013, you will be eligible for early consideration.Â
