City Of Groton Shuts Off Water Service To 'Extensive Area'

Groton Utilities is performing emergency repair work that will cause a loss of water service to an extensive area.

GROTON, CT — Groton Utilities is performing emergency repair work that will cause a loss of water service to an extensive area Friday afternoon. The shutoff is due to an equipment failure, according to the City of Groton.

Areas affected include Route 12 from the Chipotle Restaurant area to the D’Angelo’s Sandwiches area, west to the river and east through neighborhoods off of Route 12. Other impacted areas include west on Route 184 to Hilton Garden Inn and surrounding areas.

Officials said there will be no water service for the rest of the afternoon into the early evening.
