When driving through any town in Connecticut, what is the first thing you notice? Is it the Town Legal boundary sign, the state of the roads, the nice shading trees, or just the houses, buildings or familiar landmarks? Well, like most of us it may be one, two, more or all of these things. Some towns just look more appealing then others and have it spread out nicely with planted gardens, trees and other balances of business districts and residential housing areas, parks or open space.
Today I found many great areas in Groton my home town from birth and others that need improvement. Any suggestions would be welcome - as one of my goals this year is to help make Groton the most beautiful town in Connecticut. Please let me know of any areas that you feel need improvement or could use help.
I will be happy to bring these ideas forward to the Beautification Committee of the town. This committee is currently working on several projects and ideas to make the town beautiful.
