COMO Driver's Education Course Starts January 9th
Accelerated course options, or traditional options! Multiple locations.

Busy schedule? This Driver’s Ed Course is for You!
The Stonington Community Center, Inc. (COMO) is excited to continue a new driver’s education program for the busiest of Stonington area families! The COMO has partnered with Rae’s Driving School, established in 1960, and by popular demand will be offering a second Accelerated Diver’s Education Course right on the COMO Campus in the Stonington Borough.
The state-mandated 38 hour course includes the state’s 8 hour Drug & Alcohol Class and also provides 8 hours of drive time in addition. Course will be offered fully in the month of January, and will begin on Saturday, January 9th, utilizing 4 hour blocks on weekends, Martin Luther King Day, and one two-hour Wednesday evening session. Make up sessions are available at the Rae’s Waterford location at your convenience if you are unable to attend all sessions during this accelerated course. The 8 hour Drug & Alcohol Class is available as a stand-alone for those not interested in registering for the full 38 hour course on January 24th & 25th (1pm-4pm, COMO Annex). Students may arrange their 8 hours of driving time with the instructor at their convenience. Can’t make all the classes in January? Only want to take a few now with the option of taking more later? No worries! Make up classes can be completed at the Rae’s Driving School location in Waterford at your convenience.
The course will be offered at $550 for the entire course, or $125 for the Drug & Alcohol Class only. Contact Sara Garvey, s.garvey@thecomo.org for further information regarding registration or visit www.thecomo.org to learn more.
