Daily Five: Groton School Board To Review New Interim Superintendent’s Contract Today
Five Things To Know Thursday, Sept. 27

1. Today is Thursday, Sept. 27. The National Weather Service predicts partly sunny skies, a slight chance of showers and a high temperature of 71 degrees. There’s a 30 percent chance of rain tonight, and the low will drop to 51 degrees.
2. The Groton Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 5 p.m. today in the school administration building to review and possibly approve the new interim superintendent’s contract.
On Monday, the board appointed John Ramos, the former superintendent of Bridgeport Public Schools, as the new interim superintendent. Ramos is willing to stay through June 2013 if needed. His appointment is contingent upon the school board negotiating and approving a contract with him.
