Fire Breaks Out At Niantic Housing Complex
A fire at a Niantic housing complex resulted in several residents being treated for smoke inhalation.
NIANTIC, CT — Several residents were treated for smoke inhalation when a fire broke out at a housing complex at 267 Roxbury Road. The call came in at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday regarding a mattress fire.
The Niantic and Flanders Fire Departments along with the East Lyme Police Department responded.
The patients were treated by East Lyme Ambulance, Old Lyme Ambulance and Lawrence + Memorial Hospital Paramedics, according to a statement from fire officials.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Office of the East Lyme Fire Marshal.
