Great Soup and Sports Memorobilia Up for Grabs at Groton Senior Center "Souper Bowl Saturday"
The event features a variety of soups and chilis, as well as the opportunity to win exciting sports memorabilia.

GROTON, CT – Warm up before the big game at the Groton Senior Center’s third annual Souper Bowl Saturday on Saturday, February 4 at 5 p.m.
The event features delicious soups and chili from local restaurants and a drawing with great sports memorabilia from local and professional sports teams. The event is a fundraiser to benefit the Senior Center’s programs and services supporting local seniors and is open to the community, according to a release.
Admission is $10 per person and includes a hand-painted bowl and the opportunity to sample soups and chili donated by local restaurants: Capt. Daniel Packer Inne, Frank’s Gourmet Grill, Coastal Café, The Bridge Market, Grille 92, Par 4, The Bayou, and Applebee’s.

The event also features a chance drawing for the opportunity to win exciting sports memorabilia including:
- Boston Red Sox signed photo of Pablo Sandoval
- New York Giants Odell Beckham signed poster
- Flex Tickets to the Providence Bruins - regular season home game
- Professional Bowling Pin signed by Hakim Emmanuel, Jim Williams
- Signed mini helmet from Miami Dolphins #94 Mario Williams
- Signed poster 2016 NFL Pro Bowl New York Jets Darrelle Revis #24
- Signed team basketball from the Connecticut Sun
- Signed photograph of #10 Robert Woods of the Buffalo Bills
Tickets for the sports memorabilia drawing are available now at the Groton Senior Center for $20 for 25 tickets. Advanced registration for the event is also available at the Senior Center.

Last year over 80 people attended the inaugural event, helping the Senior Center raise almost $1,500. The goal this year is to raise $3,000 to help the Senior Center continue to provide its outstanding programs and service to seniors in the Groton area.
