Groton Coronavirus Update: Drive-Through Test Site To Open

GROTON, CT — The town and city of Groton and PhysicianOne Urgent Care will open a drive-through COVID-19 testing site at Fitch High School at 1010 Groton Long Point Road on Sunday, April 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Patients need to be screened prior to testing. Licensed PhysicianOne Urgent Care health care providers will test patients who have completed a medical evaluation prior to Sunday via a Virtual Visit.

Patients with symptoms of fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste/smell, and general malaise are encouraged to schedule a medical evaluation Virtual Visit with a provider.

Patients do not need to be current patients of PhysicianOne Urgent Care but must complete a medical evaluation pre-screen by PhysicianOne Urgent Care staff in advance by going to www.P1UC.com and following the prompts for the drive-through testing pre-screen. Access to adequate testing is essential to stopping the spread of COVID-19 in our communities,” John Burt, Groton Town Manager, said in a statement.
