Groton Fire Displaces 3 People

The fire occurred in a Driftwood Circle garage.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. Sunday, May 15, the Submarine Base Fire Department responded to a fire at 132 Driftwood Circle in Groton.

According to The Day, the fire occurred in the garage and was extinguished within minutes.

Fire officials said the cause may be hot coals put in the garage. Three people from the home were displaced.
