Groton Girl Lands Role in Traveling Broadway Show
She is playing a role in a travelling production of "The Sound of Music."
GROTON, CT- A local girl’s talent for singing has landed her a role in a traveling Broadway show, The Day reported.
Iris Davies has been cast as Brigitta Von Trapp in the touring Broadway production of “The Sound of Music,” as reported by The Day. The show is directed by Tony Award-winner Jack O’Brien.
Davies is the only Connecticut member of the cast, who have toured Detroit, Denver and Chicago thus far, according to The Day. She has been singing for much of her life, having performed in the Ledyard Christian Musical Theater group at a young age.
