Groton Man Arrested on Child Pornography, Drug Charges

A Groton man was arrested Wednesday on child pornography and drug charges as the result of an ongoing investigation, Groton Town Police said in a news release.

Mark Veroneau, 52, of 40 Spyglass Circle in Groton, was charged with third-degree possession of child pornography, possession of narcotics, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and having narcotics not in an original container, the release said.

He was being held on a $25,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court Thursday.

The arrest was the result of an ongoing investigation by the town police department’s special services unit, the release said.
