Groton Man Charged With Public Indecency

Police have made an arrest following incidents of a man exposing himself earlier this week.

GROTON, CT — A Groton man was charged with indecent exposure following incidents earlier this week, according to police. Police received complaints Monday and Tuesday regarding a man exposing himself on Gungywamp Road in the area of Briar Hill Road.

Police investigated the complaints and used police canine track in the area. However, police were unable to capture the man.

An officer then spotted the suspect Thursday at about 9 a.m. during a patrol of the Gungywamp Road and Briar Hill Road area. The officer made contact with the man and a member of the Groton Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division arrived on scene to assist.

During the investigation, a person approached officers and reported another exposure incident which occurred shortly before officers made contact with the man.

Christian Lolley, 23, of 163 Burningtree Drive in Groton, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and public indecency. He was held on $5000 bond and will appear in court June 30.
