Groton Man Crashes Into Police Cruiser, Faces 24 Charges: Report

GROTON, CT -- A local man is facing 24 charges after he fled a traffic stop and rammed a police cruiser Tuesday, The Day reported. Allen Burgos, Jr., of 173 Route 12, is facing charges including criminal attempt to engage police in a pursuit, two counts of interfering with a police officer, and numerous others.

Police initially attempted to stop Burgos on Route 12 at 9:02 a.m., but he fled onto I-95.

Police later spotted Burgos at the parking lot of a Super 8 on Long Hill Road, where Burgos allegedly crashed his vehicle into a police cruiser, according to The Day.
