Groton To Purchase Vacant Property For Open Space

The town is purchasing a vacant property in Mystic via a state grant.

GROTON, CT — Groton will purchase a 161-acre parcel of land using a $352,000 grant from the state, according to The New London Day. The grant is to purchase a vacant parcel called the Wolfebrook property off Noank Ledyard Road in Mystic.

The property features diverse wildlife and vernal pools, and the purchase will create nearly 200 acres of protect land between Route 1 and I-95.
