GROTON, CT — Gov. Ned Lamont has ordered all restaurants and bars to close in an effort to help contain the spread of the new coronavirus. Local eateries are allowed to afford delivery and takeout though.
In Groton most but not all restaurants are offering delivery and takeout options.

On the Waterfront posted the following: "You can find our NEW to-go menu here and on our website. We've tried to keep all your favorites while also hand selecting items that will travel best and make us proud to continue to serve you, to support you."
Olio Restaurant & Bar posted that they will be offering take out from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Call 860-445-6546.

Charlie's Place Restaurant posted the following: "we just closed to all people every where be safe see you soon"
Tony D's Restaurant posted the following: "In light of recent updates and recommendations by local health officials and the CDC we will continue to stay open during this time and offer take out and delivery to local communities. With the option of personal size or family size (4 people). Beginning Tuesday 3/17/20."
Recovery Room posted the following: "During these difficult times, and for the health and safety of our loyal patrons and employees, the Recovery Room has decided to close its dining room to the public. We will still be available for curbside takeout and curbside delivery. We will also be modifying our hours to which take out and delivery are available."
