GROTON, CT — Some are calling for a Groton Board of Education member's resignation after she posted controversial content on social media, according to The Day. The Republican Town Committee Executive Committee is recommending the resignation of Gretchen Newsome from the board.

Newsome has apologized for her comments but said she will not step down.
