Groton Woman Overdoses, Hits Pole With Car: Police
A 67-year-old woman allegedly left the scene of the Ledyard accident.
A witness to a Saturday, April 30, car accident in Ledyard contacted police after a woman struck a utility pole with her car and allegedly left the scene.
According to The Day, 67-year-old Marsha C. DeLaura of Groton overdosed after taking an undisclosed prescription medication.
While driving her car on Long Cove Road, she hit the police, police said.
