Abigail McAdams has earned USTFCCCA Outdoor Track & Field All-Region Honors.
To be named All-Region, an athlete must either be ranked in the top-5 of an individual event in the region according to final TFRRS data or be part of a top-3 relay team.
A total of six Worcester Polytechnic Institute track and field student-athletes, including Senior Liz Pellegrini and sophomore Sara Velleca, were named All-Region by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) ahead of the NCAA Division III Championships at Wartburg in Waverly, Iowa.

In addition to being the region's third quickest 400 meter hurdler, Pellegrini enters the NCAA meet sixth in the nation while Velleca was fourth regionally in the 200 meter dash. Both are part of the 4x100 meter relay, which was the speediest in New England and sixth overall for the year.
They teamed with senior Alex Price and freshman Michelle Gencorelli to fortify their spot at the national event with a school-record time at the ECAC meet. Senior Jason Beauregard, meanwhile, rocketed from outside the top 50 to number 20 nationally, and McAdams reset her own school record in the heptathlon on her way to a third-place showing in the region.
