Just for fun

  • Monday, Tuesday and Thursday kids 15 to 18 years old can work on their rowing technique with the Noank Rowing Club. Check out noankrowing.org for more info.
  • Tuesday: there’s a farmer’s market at the Bill Memorial Library from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. They’ll feature fresh, locally-grown produce from The Collins Farm in Oakdale.
  • Wednesday: Author and professor Glenn Gordinier will present an illustrated talk on Mystic and the War of 1812 He will examine how that war relates to Connecticut and to the Mystic River Valley.
  • Thursday: Today’s the last time to soak up the rays at Eastern Point Beach while your kids have storytime. A librarian from Bill Memorial Library will be there at 10:30 to read to read stories geared toward younger beachgoers.
  • Friday: Remember LEGOs? The Groton Public Library is hosting LEGO time for all ages. Bring your imagination and build something fun! No registration is necessary, just drop in and start building.
