May 20: Local Roads Impacted by Mystic Half Marathon & 10K

The Hartford Marathon Foundation will produce the Mystic Half Marathon & 10K on Sunday, May 20, in the communities of Stonington and Groton. With approximately 2,200 athletes expected to participate in the event, please be aware of traffic impact and limited road closures affecting the area from 7:00 am until 10:00 am.

The following road will be closed to vehicle traffic from 7:00 am until 10:00 am:

• Coogan Boulevard (Maritime Drive – Jerry Browne Road)

The following roads will be closed to vehicle traffic from 7:00 am until 7:10 am:

• Route 27 (Coogan Boulevard – Holmes Street)
• Holmes Street

The following roads will be closed to vehicle traffic from 7:00 am until 7:30 am:

• Route 1 (Holmes Street – Pearl Street)
• Pearl Street

The following roads will be closed to vehicle traffic from 7:10 am until 8:10 am:

• Grove Street
• River Road

The following roads will be closed to vehicle traffic from 7:30 am until 8:45 am:

• Jerry Browne Road (Route 27 – Coogan Boulevard)
• Deer Ridge Road (Jerry Browne Road – Jacobs Way)

The following roads will be closed to vehicle traffic from 7:30 am until 10:00 am:

• Jerry Browne Road (Coogan Boulevard – Mistuxet Avenue)
• Mistuxet Avenue

The following roads will be closed to vehicle traffic from 7:40 am until 10:00 am:

• Deans Mill Road
• Flanders Road
• Pellegrino Road

The following road will remain open for use by vehicles and race participants from 7:20 am until 8:25 am. Please expect minor delays and use caution:

• Route 27 (River Road – Jerry Browne Road)- alternating one way traffic

The following road will remain open for use by vehicles and race participants from 7:40 am until 10:00 am. Please expect minor delays and use caution:

• Pequot Trail (Deans Mill Road – Flanders Road)

The Hartford Marathon Foundation makes every effort to minimize the impact of the race on local roads and neighborhoods while bringing participants in to enjoy the Stonington and Groton communities.
