Lucille Bergeson, 89, of Waterford, who worked at the Lawrence + Memorial Hospital gift shop and retired after 30 years, died March 15.

Constance Marie Durfee, 27, of Groton, lost her battle with cystic fibrosis at Yale New-Haven Hospital, on Jan. 30.

Edith Gustavson, 90, of Mystic, wife of the late Robert Gustavson, died March 14, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London.

Margaret Alice (Dunham) Higley, 91, formerly of Groton, died March 14 at Apple-Rehab, Mystic, where she had been a resident for the past 10 years, after suffering a major stroke in Oct. 2001.

Edward E. Pingalore, 84, of Fitchville Road, who formerly worked at Electric Boat, died March 17 at the William W. Backus Hospital.
