Registration Open for Tour de Noank 5K Road Race

Runners and walkers ages 3 and up are invited to participate in this Groton Parks and Recreation tradition.

Take in the beauty of downtown Noank at the annual Tour de Noank 5K Road Race and Kids’ Fun Run on Saturday, June 11, presented by Thames Valley Communications. Runners and walkers ages 3 and up are invited to participate in this Groton Parks and Recreation tradition that begins and ends at Esker Point Beach in Noank.

The event kicks off with the Fun Run for kids ages 3-12 at 9:30 a.m. The Fun Run course is approximately 1K. The certified 5K Road Race begins at 10 a.m.

Registration is available now online at GrotonRec.com and will be open on race day at 8:30 a.m. Pre-registration is $25 for the 5K and will be $30 on race day. A portion of the proceeds from the event benefit Groton’s programs for people with special needs. Runners who make an additional donation to special needs programs will receive a pair of red speed laces and will be entered to win live lobsters from Abbott’s Lobster in the Rough.

The event is also sponsored by STIHL, Abbott’s Lobster in the Rough, Costello’s Clam Shack, and other generous community partners.
