Shoreline Roller Derby Hosts Last Home Game of the Season
Shoreline Roller Derby, southeastern Connecticut's local flat track roller derby league, will host the Central Jersey Roller Vixens.

From Shoreline Roller Derby: Don’t miss some hard hitting fun when Shoreline Roller Derby, southeastern Connecticut's local flat track roller derby league, hosts the Central Jersey Roller Vixens at the UConn Avery Point Gymnasium, 1084 Shennecossett Road in Groton.Doors open at 4 p.m., and the fun kicks off with the first whistle for a "Dinosaurs vs. Unicorns" demo game by Connecticut Junior Roller Derby at 4:30.
The SLRD Bella Donnas take the track at 5:30 pm and challenge CJRV.Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Children 6 through 12 are $6, and children 6 and under are free. Get your tickets from your favorite player or at the door.Roller derby is fun for the whole family. Everyone will enjoy watching this full-contact sport played on quad roller skates. Fast and furious and full of adrenaline, the adults hit hard and the junior derby players, who range from 7 to 17, will awe you with their quick moves and determination. And the fun doesn’t end after the last whistle sounds, attendees ages 21+ are invited to join us at our after party, held at Christopher’s Cafe (958 Poquonnock Road, Groton) following the bout.
