Shoreline Roller Derby Hosts Season Opener

From Shoreline Roller Derby: Don’t miss some hard hitting fun when Shoreline Roller Derby (SLRD), Southeastern CT’s local flat track roller derby league, hosts their first home game of the season on July 22 at Galaxy Roller Rink (210 Bridge Street, Groton). SLRD’s Belladonnas will take on Western Mass Roller Derby team, The Nyads. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.

Doors open at 5:30 pm, and the game begins at 6 pm. Kids under 12 are free with a paying adult. Get your tickets from your favorite player, at the door, or online at www.brownpaperbagtickets.com.

Roller derby is fun for the whole family. Everyone will enjoy watching this full-contact sport played on quad roller skates. It is fast and furious and full of adrenaline. And the fun doesn’t end after the last whistle sounds, join us at our after party held at Christopher’s Cafe (958 Poquonnock Rd, Groton) following the bout.
