Southeastern CT Legislator Named Deputy Majority Leader
State Rep. Christine Conley (D-Groton, Ledyard) has been named deputy majority leader.

GROTON, CT – Majority Leader Jason Rojas (D-East Hartford, Manchester) announced his appointment of State Representative Christine Conley (D-Groton, Ledyard) as Deputy Majority Leader.
As Deputy Majority Leader, Rep. Conley will work closely with the Speaker of the House and Majority Leader and will aide them in developing, reviewing and analyzing pieces of critical legislation.

“I am delighted that Rep. Conley has accepted the position of Deputy Majority Leader," said Majority Leader Rojas. "She is an excellent legislator who cares deeply about her community and the state of Connecticut as a whole. Rep. Conley's strong relationships with her peers in the General Assembly make her a natural fit for this role."
"I am honored by Majority Leader Rojas' appointment and I look forward to working with everyone during the 2021 legislative session," said Representative Conley.

Rep. Conley represents the 40th Assembly District, which includes the towns of Groton and Ledyard. She will also serve on the Transportation, Judiciary, and Planning and Development committees.
