The blizzard pounded Groton Friday night, starting slowly but dumping as many as 8 inches in some areas by 7 p.m.
Jessica Giuliano reported on our Groton Patch facebook page she had 2.5 inches as of 3:37 p.m., and John Higgins also reported 2.5 inches in the early afternoon.
by 7 p.m., Stephen Gray said he had 8 inches of snow. The National Weather Service predicted 22 inches before the storm ends Saturday.
