Town of Groton Offers Amateur Radio Operator Classes
Amateur radio operators can be an integral component in emergency communications.

The Town of Groton has announced that they'll soon offer beginning ham radio courses for all those interested.Â
Local ham radio operators will be teaching the course and they'll be able to fill you in on the chatter they've heard and contributed to.
According to Wikipedia, "Amateur radio (also called ham radio) is the use of designated radio frequency spectra for purposes of private recreation, non-commercial exchange of messages, wireless experimentation, self-training, and emergency communication."Â
