The Groton Senior Center is a busy place most days. On Thursdays, Nancy Bordeau of Uncasville, teaches a ceramics class from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. She usually has five to ten students.

This week, the students worked on candy dishes and bowls. Diane Haines, of Groton, brought her great-granddaughter by to say hello.
