Monday: There’s a Baby Social Hour today at the Groton Public Library at 9:30 a.m. Relax and enjoy the company of other caregivers while your babies share toys and board books.
Tuesday: If you stand on your feet a lot and have noticed swelling in your ankles, stop in at the Pink Mermaid today and have Certified Fitters perform a free noninvasive test on your legs to give you an idea of the blood flow in your legs. Call (860) 865-0825 to make a free appointment.
Wednesday: Teenscape at the Groton Public Library is open for Wii gaming every Wednesday! Bring your “E” Wii games or use theirs and stop in for a fun-filled afternoon.
Thursday: Discover Local Author Todd Gipstein tonight at the Groton Senior Center at 6:30 p.m. Todd Gipstein, a Groton resident and photographer for the National Geographic, will talk about his new novel, Magician’s Choice. Gipstein’s first novel, Legacy of the Light, which was released in 2011, was enormously popular with readers in the region.
Friday: Children ages 7-12 are invited to the Groton Public Library to explore different hands-on science related activities each month, this month’s experiment is Coconut Volcano. Space is limited and registration is required. Call or visit the Library to register.
