Development of Guilford Commons Moves Forward
The shopping center is being developed at the site referred to as the "Rockpile".

Construction at the site located at 1919 Boston Post Road or the “Rockpile” has piqued interest in the development project known as the “Guilford Commons”, Jack Kramer reports from the Guilford Courier.
According to the paper, developers DDR Corp. have been candid about their plans for the 139,000-square-foot shopping center. The company has said it is not their policy to identify potential tenants but conveyed that three junior anchors and a restaurant will occupy the complex.
Improvements to nearby roadways including the widening of Route 1 with a dedicated turn lane, the addition of a traffic signal and bus stop and the widening of the I-95 North off ramp have also begun, the paper reports.
